The BEng degree meets the educational requirement to become an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). As a graduate of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence MEng, you will have key critical skills in mathematics, engineering, computer science, AI and robotics. This core technical knowledge is underpinned by your experience in project work, practically applying knowledge and communicating these through report writing and presentations. By being able to combine theory with practice, you will find yourself equipped to work in the way that engineers work on teams in the real world.

Join us for an on-campus Open Day where you’ll be able to meet us in person, hear from our trailblazing academics and explore our innovative £340m facilities. Throughout the course, you will have opportunities to interact with a curriculum that is supported by commercial and industrial content and partners. Develop a relationship with the Careers+ team and go through tailoring my CV and my cover letters with them. Because of this, I have been presented with many opportunities which they have tailored to me and my needs.

Through a two hour lecture each week, you’ll be introduced to concepts and techniques for software testing and will be given an insight into the use of artificial and computational intelligence for automated software testing. You’ll also review recent industry trends on software quality assurance and testing. This module will require some challenging programming work and assumes some basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Introductory tutorials will be provided to those without this prior knowledge.

During your studies, you will have access to specialist project labs, computer workstations, and online tools. You will also benefit from our strong links with local businesses through our membership of the Greater Manchester Artificial Intelligence Foundry. The 180-credit MSc award comprises four taught modules, plus a research dissertation. If you got your degree in an English speaking country or if it was taught in English, and you studied within the last five years, you might not need an English language qualification – find out more. Offer conditions will vary depending on the institution you are applying from and the degree that you study. For some institutions/degrees we will ask for different grades to above, so this is only a guide.
